I went for the briefing for the cleo challenge today and this is what they gave us--> 4 sentosa admission tickets, name tags, cleo t-shirts and 8 pages of the rules and regulations....the cleo challenge is kinda similar to the amazing race where we have to race against time.

Our team's number and name is printed on the name tag...

Then, we went to the crash course on outrigger canoeing at Tanjong Beach. The outrigger canoeing is taught by people from the Singapore Paddle club.

This is my first time canoeing and it's quite a good experience for me. I've learnt some new things from them. What i find really interesting is that we have to climb up the boat from the left because going up from the right would be disrespectful to the boat. There are about 6 persons on the boat and the person in the middle have to count to 14 before giving the command to switch to the other hand. And i'm the person sitting in the middle...lol. I have to shout loudly after every 14 counts....lol....so not used to it.

This is supposed to be a crash course and i wonder why we paddled so far away from the beach. We paddled all the way out to the sea and i can even see ships travelling beside us. I guess it's because two of the instructors were in the boat with us. The canoeing session is free for all participants of cleo challenge and the instructors told us we could join them for future trainings. I'm not sure whether there are any fees involved though.
