hi guys....I'm back from school. Went for the 'ot' test today...and the test is so difficult...i only know how to answer 2 questions among the 6 questions....haiz....sad! I think tests and exams make me super stress. I still prefer projects...haha. I have been very busy lately and i still have a few group meetings this week, a test next week, another test and project submission the week after, and lots more project submission after that. Omg. I don't know how I'll survive but still i try to do one thing at a time and I'm thinking for the present instead of thinking of the future. Anyway, I'm resting now and I'm playing pets society. I like to play pets society (facebook) because it's a cute game and I'm happy to play it for 1/2 hour everyday. Some people say its a lame game but i love playing it because its such a cute and easy game. I like to play it because i don't have to use my brain when playing it. That way, playing game is my rest time when i am studying or doing projects. :D . Btw...here's a photo of my living room and my pet. I named the pet Rocket (rocket and not rocky).

The other side of my living room...nice cosy fireplace with lots of food.

My bedroom...i placed the laptop beside the computer because this is exactly how it looks like in my room. My bedroom is my study room + movie room + bedroom + dressing room. haha.

I have yet to decorate the rest of the rooms because i do not have enough cash and i have to earn it first. This super cute game allows you to leave a message at your friends' house or even buy a new present for them. I'm eyeing the phone at the furniture shop...hope I'll earn enough cash to buy it.

Photo of the luxury store.

There are other shops in the game. i simply love this game because you don't have to download it in order to play.

For IT lovers, the IT show is opening next month from 12-15March 2009 at Suntec Singapore. There will be 5 show floors of great bargains and new products from 800 exhibitors.

As you all have already know, yahoo auction was closed long ago. And now, you can you can click on the marketplace (from http://www.yahoo.com.sg/) to buy or sell things at Gmarket. I have already signed up as a buyer but i have yet to sign up at a seller. I am still trying to figure out the website as the website is kinda complicated with G-coupons, G-stamps and all. Sellers are mostly Singaporeans and their contact number is also provided in this website. I think it's good for the buyers when the contact number is provided because we can then sms them instead of emailing them for faster transactions. You can choose to join Gmarket as a buyer or a seller. You must be registered as a buyer before you are allowed to register as a seller. However, you have to sign up for a yahoo email account before you can sign up as a buyer/seller. Btw, Gmarket Singapore site is launched in association with yahoo Singapore in october 2008. Please tell me more about Gmarket if you are familar with it. Thanks a lot! :D

According to Japan media reports, Hamasaki's father walked out on the family when she was a child and her mother had raised her alone. The two ladies went through much suffering together and share a close bond. Lately, her mother did not just find success in her career but also a new man to take care of her. Hamasaki revealed the news at the Avex Music annual general meeting and put her colleagues in utter disbelief.

Sources reveal, her mother's new life partner was Hamasaki's classmate in high school at Fukuoka and they had even dated. The relationship ended when she went to Tokyo to pursue her dreams. This man, who later went to the University of Tokyo, approached Hamasaki's mother for help after his graduation and she offered him a job at the sundry shop, where their feelings and love for each other gradually developed with time.

Omg...can you believe that Ayumi's ex-boyfriend is becoming her stepfather? This is so unbelievable...omg...

I've been busy with projects and so i've got no time to update my blog... btw, facebook has turned 5 years old! here's the article-->
WASHINGTON (AFP) - -

Facebook has celebrated its fifth birthday with 150 million guests but no clear path to profitability.

Chief executive Mark Zuckerberg, who co-founded the social networking website with two Harvard University roommates five years ago, marked the occasion in low-key fashion with a blog post urging members to send a virtual gift to their online friends.
"In the spirit of celebrating connections between people, we encourage you to use this gift to give thanks to your friends, colleagues and family members with whom you are connected on Facebook," he wrote.

Zuckerberg, 24, said he was "humbled" by the phenomenal growth of a website which began as a way for his fellow Harvard students to stay connected and has blossomed into a worldwide network that has dwarfed rival MySpace.

"Facebook was founded in 2004 to give people the tools to engage and understand the world around them," he said. "We are glad and humbled that so many people are using Facebook in this way."

Zuckerberg, who has a personal worth of 1.5 billion dollars according to Forbes magazine, launched Facebook from his Harvard dorm room on February 4, 2004 with roommates Dustin Moscovitz and Chris Hughes.

It quickly spread to other schools around the country and eventually anyone aged 13 or older with an Internet connection was allowed to create a Facebook profile and post photos or update their friends on their status.

With the astronomical growth has also come controversy. Facebook has been accused of violating privacy, facilitating online sexual predators and hate groups and simply being a colossal waste of time.

It has also been touted as a force for good, serving as bridge between people and even as a tool to counter terrorism and repressive governments.

Both Moscovitz and Hughes have since left the company -- Moscovitz last year to set up an Internet technology firm and Hughes to join the online campaign of then-Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Zuckerberg predicted a bright future for the Palo Alto, California-based Facebook and its 800 employees.
"Building and moving quickly for five years hasn't been easy, and we aren't finished," Zuckerberg said. "The challenge motivates us to keep innovating and pushing technical boundaries to produce better ways to share information."
One challenge Facebook is yet to overcome is how to make money.
US software giant Microsoft bought a 1.6 percent stake in Facebook in 2007 for 240 million dollars, valuing the social network on paper at 15 billion dollars.
But Facebook, unlike other Web giants such as Amazon, eBay, Google and Yahoo!, is yet to prove how it is going to translate traffic into cash.
"There's no significant visible source of revenue other than investors," said Silicon Valley analyst Rob Enderle of the Enderle Group.
"There's a lot of potential there but they're still kind of living in this dotcom mindset where a business plan doesn't make a difference," he said. "And as we saw with the dotcoms, that has a very unfortunate end to it."
"Google was able to figure out fairly quickly how to monetize what they were doing and they became a giant and that's the potential for Facebook but they've got to cross that chasm," Enderle said.

Going public with an IPO, or initial public offering, would not appear to be an option for Facebook right now.

"Doing a public offering when you have no revenue? Good luck with that -- particularly in this market," said Enderle.

Advertising could be a money-spinner but "the ad model doesn't seem like it works all that well for Facebook -- though it could," said Enderle. "You know an awful lot about people, and so you would think they could do targeted ads."

"Whatever the path, Facebook doesn't have an unlimited period of time to find it," Enderle said.
"They need to grow out of their childhood really fast. They can't be a five-year-old anymore," he said. "They have to grow into adulthood and adulthood means paying the bills."

I love this sentence 'They have to grow into adulthood and adulthood means paying the bills'. I think the sentence is seriously so true. You will only learn to see the important of money when you grow older. E.g got to pay the handphone bills, electricity bills, internet bills, insurance, etc etc. Sometimes i'll think to myself...and i realised that i have to spend at least $200-$300(to give a conservative figure) on bills each month the moment i step into the workforce.

Capricorn is the tenth Sign of the Zodiac. After Scorpio and Sagittarius' discovery of other people through emotion and intellect, Capricorn focuses on ascending through life through hard work. People born under this Sign are both ambitious and disciplined; determined and dedicated to achieving their goals. They are also practical and realistic, cautious not to get in over their heads. As the tenth Sign, Capricorn also rules the tenth House: the House of Social Status.
The Astrological Symbol of Capricorn is the Sea Goat. They start from the Sea and ascend to the highest mountain tops, working their way upward with every step. While the path is not always smooth, their determination to succeed ensures they will push on. They can also be rigid and unforgiving when others stand in their way. They are business leaders, often starting businesses or coming up with new ideas. In this way, Capricorn exemplifies the Cardinal Quality assigned to it. They are conservative, rarely risking too much, but their tendency toward conformity make stifle them at times. Their organizational ability combines with their diligence to help them achieve, but they can be narrow-minded and over-critical of people not as ambitious as they are. Within the Zodiac, Capricorn is opposite Cancer, the Sign of Home. Cancer finds status within the family, while Capricorn is about social status. Their business achievement and reputation as solid citizens helps them reach a high position in society, but they may also be moralistic toward others.
Capricorn is ruled by the Planet Saturn. In ancient Roman mythology, Saturn (and his Greek equivalent, Cronus) was the father of many of the Gods, including Zeus. Saturn is about discipline, hard work, and responsibility. It rules both Capricorn and Aquarius; Capricorn is the feminine, or night aspect and Aquarius is the masculine, or day. Both Signs are about achieving goals through hard work, but Aquarius works hard to achieve their visions, while Capricorn uses hard work to gain authority and social status. Appearances are important. As a result, Capricorn is loyal and charitable, self-controlled and self-reliant, but this may also lead to inhibition or fatalism. They are dependable and serious, never giving up on their goals. Other people may see their ambition as domineering or a reflection of egotism, but they are patient and purposeful when working toward what they want.
The Element associated with Capricorn is Earth. Earth Signs are practical: they tend to respond to the world through practicality, rather than physical action, intellect, or emotion. They are the businessmen of the Zodiac, and when Earth is combined with the action-oriented Element of Fire, they become the Capricorns who start businesses and lead companies. Capricorns are economical and scrupulous, but they can also be materialistic and greedy. They tend to be conventional, rather than rebellious or flashy.
Capricorns are among the responsible and traditional Signs. They are generally reserved, careful, and stable. Sometimes they may be overly critical, even bossy, but this is due to their strong desire to achieve their goals and not to a desire to be rude. In fact, Capricorns are generally polite because they understand that making enemies will not help them achieve in life.
In their leisure time, Capricorns enjoy competition with other people. They tend to enjoy team sports, but it can be difficult for them when they lose through no fault of their own. One-on-one competition also appeals to them, and especially enjoy golf and martial arts. In love relationships, Capricorn is devoted, not daring!
Capricorn rules the knees, teeth, and bones. People born under Capricorn may be more susceptible to dental problems and broken bones than people of other Signs. Capricorn's colors are the Earthy colors of brown and khaki.
The great strength of the Capricorn-born is in their ability to set goals and keep working until they achieve them. Their ambition is inexhaustible, and they are not easily deterred when their goals are in sight. Their hard work makes them one of the most successful characters of the Zodiac.
