This is the second time I'm watching the Korean movie, 200 pounds beauty. I seldom watch Korean movies as some are too unrealistic and too romantic for me. However, 200 pounds beauty is one of the few Korean movies that i like. If you were give a chance, would you choose to be talented but ugly, or untalented but pretty? It's a tough choice ya? If you choose to be talented but ugly, you can try to make yourself prettier. If you are untalented but pretty, you can learn new skills as you will be given more opportunities if you are pretty. So, which one will you choose?

I just hate it when i see pretty stuff online! eeeee! I saw this shirt dress that i really like and it costs $27.50. But but but! I only have $10 left in my wallet. I'm a super broke girl! Just for this minute, i wished i'm a guy. (so that i can't wear that dress)

Happy 21st birthday jieyi! We celebrated her birthday at 好粥到火鍋館 located at Ang Mo Kio central. The buffet costs $13.90 nett per person. Food is quite nice...you may want to click on http://www.sbestfood.com/hauzhoudao.htm for more information/ for reservations.

Hi guys! I've created a new blog skin for my blog. I spent a few hours working on this new blog skin. Hope you will like it.

I got the blog template from www.blogskins.com and i decided to edit the template.

*

*

*

*

*

This is what i did. I uploaded new photos onto www.photobucket.com and added the html link into my blog template. I've added the marquee effect for the photos circled in white, so that the photos will scroll up on it's own. You can adjust the scrolling speed from your blog template as well. Then, I've added the translator(circled in purple) in my blog. You can now view my blog in different languages such as simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean and so on.

Lastly, I've added a new song and a ticker to track my school holidays. You can also use it for tracking your birthday, anniversaries and so on. There are many designs to choose from as well. Got this from http://lilypie.com/ .

This is how my blog looks like in simplified Chinese. You can try reading it! Some sentences sound weird after translating into Chinese. haha.

And this is how my blog looks like in Japanese. :D cheerios.

Therefore, it doesn't give you any headache after reading it.

Was watching channel 8 just now when i saw a very touching real-life story about a guy who chose to marry his girlfriend despite her meeting with an accident. I also think that the girl is very brave for being so positive and able to overcome all obstacles. I always envy people for having the courage to overcome difficult obstacles and to take care of their loved ones in times of crisis. The girl has also set up a website to share her own feelings and i admire her for saying this--> 'physical disability doesn't mean you are a liability to society'. I'm sure you will get well soon. Take care :)

Her website: http://notinvalid.com/drupal/

I went to weishan's blog and she said that i never tell anyone about the change of the blog address...and so i just went to write it in facebook. Its actually very easy to look for someone's blog...just type their full name on google.com or yahoo.com and you can find it easily.

I don't like it when people say i look like a secondary school student. I'm 21 years old this year. Please give me an adult face.

We've finally submitted the money for the cleo challenge. Other details will be emailed to us. So please check your email every now and then. :)

The place for submission is near great world shopping centre. We are supposed to submit at 3pm but we reached there at about 2pm because the place is quite near plaza singapura. Then, we went to bugis after that. The japanese food at the food court in the bugis shopping centre is quite yummy and affordable. I paid $5.90 for the rice, chicken, salad, fruits, soup and a cup of tea. yummy.

hey guys! try this quiz http://www.personalitytest.net/cgi-bin/q.pl if u have 15 minutes to spare...quite a number of questions though. Fyi, my personality type is ESFJ

Most sociable of all types. Outstanding host or hostesses. They may be dependent, first on parents and later on spouses. They excel in service occupations involving personal contact. 13% of the total population.

The social status of successful people can be quite alluring to ESFJs and many marry prosperous mates and encourage them to accumulate the material signs of prosperity. Other ESFJs seem to fit in with the poor and the needy. In either case their dependability, dedication, and commitment to providing for the needs of others is, at times, overlooked. This can lead to the ESFJ feeling unappreciated and neglected. They can harbor uncomfortable feelings, which they then feel guilty and shameful about, and then they find themselves suffering from emotional denial.

If stress continues, the ESFJ will begin to feel dejected and despondent. A sense of gloom seems to be attached to their memories and the ESFJ fosters feelings of self-blame and guilt about certain past experiences. Always conscious of a sense of indebtedness, the ESFJ feels generally remorseful and may regret imagined woes. If stress becomes overwhelming, ESFJs will complain of their burdens, suspect dreadful things about their health, become critical of others who have "betrayed" them, and become generally melancholic. The ESFJ feels forsaken after all they have put up with and done for others. Their complaints immobilize so they are unable to nurture others or fulfill their demanding obligations.

This lists represent careers and jobs people of your type tend to enjoy doing. The job requirements are similar to the personality tendencies of your personality type. It is important to remember that this is not a list of all the jobs possible. And it is very important to remember that people can, and frequently do, fill jobs that are dissimilar to their personality... this happens all the time...and sometimes works out quite well.

some interesting questions and answers about sex and men:

I like this guy, and we hang out about twice a week, but it seems like I’m always paying for stuff, whether it’s for a movie or dinner. What should I do? - Christie, 20

Is that a moocher alert you hear ringing in your head? Money matters are sticky even between friends and family, much less a guy you like.

First of all, try to recall the times you’ve gotten the bill. Did you offer to get this round? Did he make a counter offer “I’ll buy you dinner the next time round”, or did he just quietly accept your offer of payment?

Chat and find out more about him. Maybe he’s currently going through a financial crisis – medical bills, in between jobs, paying off study loans, etc. It may not give him an excuse to mooch off you, but at least you will know that he’s not a moocher.

Try dropping a few subtle hints – “Hey, I got the last one, why don’t you get this one?” If you can’t get the words out of your mouth, just pretend to be busy with something when the bill comes, or just excuse yourself and head to the ladies’ room. Unfortunately, if he still looks at you expectantly when the bill comes or when you return from the restroom, ditch him. The boy only sees you as a walking cash dispenser.

How do I break the news to him that I dislike sex? I'm running out of excuses to avoid bedroom activity! - Amber, 22

There are only that many times that he’ll believe you’re having a headache, and a limit to the number of excuses you can cook up. Just tell the truth, but break it to him gently, and tell him that you just don’t enjoy sex. Although it might be clichéd, you should also tell him that it’s not him, it’s you.

The fact is, not everyone will enjoy sex. The following reasons could result in a person’s aversion to sex:
• sexual violence
• stress
• violence
• drug use
• fear of pregnancy
• depression
• self-consciousness
• pain during sex

If you’re stressed or depressed, you can take some time out for quality time to recharge. If you’ve been sexually abused, you can contact the relevant authorities to do something about your abuser and bring closure to the situation, or undergo counselling.

If you encounter pain during sex, you may not be aroused enough, In this case, you can give some useful hints to your man, such as guiding his hand, or telling him that you like certain things he does. Tip: Give him positive pointers rather than saying “I don’t like you doing this.” Constructive feedback is much better and also doesn’t spoil the mood. Another reason for painful sex could be vaginismus, a treatable condition where there is involuntary tightness of the vagina during attempted intercourse.

To combat your fear of pregnancy, always use a condom and practice safe sex. For more permanent birth control methods, opt for Intrauterine System (IUS), birth control pills or injectable contraception.

Alternatively, you could simply be asexual – someone who simply does not experience sexual attraction. Unlike celibacy, which can be a chosen way of life, asexuality is just part of who we are. It does not affect our lives positively or negatively, and is just beginning to be the subject of scientific research.

Once you’ve figured out the cause, it will be easier for you to have a chat with your man, and give him time for you to find a solution. It’ll be a lot easier to tell the truth, rather than have to create new excuses every time he’s in the mood.

I met a guy at a friend’s party and I really like him. We exchanged SMSes and things were going great. However, lately I feel like his answers are short and curt, and I’m the one doing all the talking. What’s up? – Char, 21

There are two possible reasons for this: One is that he’s starting to develop feelings for you and being a typical male, he’s probably too freaked out and keeping away from you before he decides if he wants to take this further. The other reason is (and I’m sorry for being harsh) he’s just not that into you.

Stop texting him. If he misses you, he’ll make the first move, and then you’ll know he’s into you.

Whenever you have the urge to text him, distract yourself by doing something that will keep your mind off him. This will keep you busy till he realises how great you are, or prepare you for his eventual disappearance.

we signed up at the cleo challenge and our team was selected because we are one of the first 25 teams to sign up! happy! the challenge looks fun....and training starts now! http://www.askcleo.com.sg/campaigns/ucc/

Channel NewsAsia - 2 hours 26 minutes ago
SINGAPORE: A Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) regular serviceman died during a free—fall parachute training session in Bloemfontein, South Africa, on Wednesday.

The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) said First Warrant Officer (1WO) Tan Poh Eng was part of a six—man team that jumped off a Republic of Singapore Air Force C—130 aircraft at a height of 12500 feet to conduct a formation jump.

When the formation broke off at 3500 feet to deploy their parachutes, 1WO Tan, 53, spiralled downwards to the ground.

He was found unconscious at about 4.45pm (Singapore time), and given immediate medical attention by an SAF doctor and a medic on—site.

He was evacuated by helicopter at 5.15pm and arrived at about 5.35pm at the Pelonomi Hospital in Bloemfontein.

1WO Tan, a parachute jump instructor from the Commando Training Institute, was pronounced dead at 5.57pm in the hospital.

He was part of a 51—member SAF Commando team participating in SAF freefall training which is being conducted from April 27 to May 24. The SAF conducts freefall training in South Africa once every two years.

Mindef and the SAF extend their deepest condolences to the family of the late 1WO Tan and is investigating the incident. All SAF freefall training has been temporarily suspended.

I hope that Mindef and SAF will investigate the case thoroughly and explain to his family about what really happened and why he spiralled downwards to the ground when the formation broke off at 3500 feet. At first i was thinking why din they invent a parachute that opens automatically when the man did not open it successfully. Then, someone told me that they already have it. Those that opens automatically is called a static line will auto open. However, as this is a free fall jump, they will have to control their own parachute. I hope that Mindef and SAF will give his family a detailed explanation and compensate them in terms of money and also volunteers to help them through this. However, they should also respect the family and give them time to be alone and grieve over this accident. My friend was under him and i know that he is a nice guy. I wish that god will bless him and his family and help them through the difficult times. He is a nice guy and i'm sure he will be reborn into a good family in his next life. God bless you and rest in peace.

Mini cheese cake costs about $1.20.

yes...i went to straighten my hair. I made the decision to straighten my hair on saturday and i went to straighten my hair on sunday. Lol. It will look more natural after a few days. Can anyone see the nail art stickers on my nails? hmmm...i was so bored at home and that's why i decided to apply nail polish. This is what i did to my left hand--> i applied the first layer of nail polish and waited for 10 minutes. Then, i applied the second layer of nail polish before waiting for another 15 minutes. After that, i pasted nail art stickers on the nails and waited for 1 minute before applying the top coat to cover the nail stickers. Finally, it's done after waiting for another 20 minutes for the nail polish to dry completely.

Yes...i just blew a kiss to u. hey! please don't run away! haha

Weini said that she is always not satisfied with what she got in the past...and always thinking about why others are luckier than her. I do think that way sometimes too. A negative trait of capricorn is that they are pessimist and always have negative thoughts. But i think that this is because we like to think about the worst scenario that we will be in, so that we will have time to plan and prepare ourselves for the worst. I think there are two sides to everything. Good or bad depends on how you view it. I think that satisfaction comes when you've done comparisons. e.g a rich girl will compare herself to another person who is even richer than her. And after comparisons are done, she will not be satisfied. I think that comparisons are good, because it makes you want to improve yourself. However, too much comparisons are bad.

yes...i still miss u....but i know it's impossible for us. Please take care of yourself after your operation.

im so bored when i'm at home....zzzzz.....and it's amazing....i took an afternoon nap today! and the reason is because i'm simply too bored and i fell asleep while lying on the bed. I hope school will start soon! lol.

The tan family went to C.H.I.J.M.E.S for dinner today...

Trevin and his gf...

me...justine and jasmine. I think that the place is nice...just that i find it too formal for a family gathering. They booked the entire room and the youngsters occupy one table while the uncles and aunties occupy the other table. My grandfather is also inside this photo. (Look behind us)

me and justine

shavonne, shereen, justine, jasmine

and here are some photos of the food

my favourite dish of all! yummy

and this is the prettiest of all!

I don't understand why do we always have to go to such expensive places just for family gatherings...it will be nice if we get to go hawker centres for dinner sometimes. Am i weird or what? lol

Xiu Hui agreed to be the model for my cousin's exam. Nice...hope she'll have fun at Jean Yip, trying out the make-up, facial, waxing, etc. Thanks for helping! :)

I was at Mt Elizabeth Medical Centre for my monthly dental appointment and the braces adjustment lasted for 45minutes....quite painful ...sob. I closed my eyes throughout the 45 minutes so i din know what the dentist was doing to my teeth.lol. I'm scared and i din want to see what kinda equipment he was using. Although the braces adjustment is painful, i think that it is still bearable. I think that the best way to forget the pain is to keep your mind occupied e.g to think about the person that you love/hate, to think about food, etc...

Our outing at the grand cathay's Ashston...let's begin with a candid photo first....and hey...this is how we look like after having dinner...lol....

where's dragon?lol...
smile!

Jieyi...Shereen...Roan...

Dragon...Xiu Hui...Sok Wan

Cute picture! look at the expression on dragon's face...and Xiu Hui is the only one looking at the camera...

i'm going to try this if i'm going there in the future...

I can't eat this coz it's beef.

This is what i ate and i paid $9+ in total (inclusive of gst and service charge). I think this is a great place for dating coz the food is yummy and it's very affordable...
