yesterday was Jeffrey's birthday and so i brought him to the Singapore Zoo!


african penguin! so cute!

look at his wide smile!

it's elephant feeding time... you can purchase bananas at $5 per basket to feed them or you can just touch them...
look at their huge nose...

we went for the jungle breakfast.... the jungle breakfast is from 9am to 10am....international buffet style with close encounters with the animals

the animals are getting ready for the phototaking session....the jungle breakfast is inclusive of phototaking...i would rate the food 6.5/10 but the whole experience is great as we get to enjoy our breakfast close to the animals and have our photos taken at the end of the session

we are heading towards the kids world

anyone want a horse carriage ride? seems fun but the horse seems so pitiful


what is the goat doing? is it trying to break open the cage? lol....i love to touch them coz they won't bite and are so cute and adorable!

there's a house full of wax people...

what a huge cockroach! it's fake but look so real....


chicks inside the refrigerator? do not be alarmed when you open the fridge...

you can carry the animals if you want....but please remember to wash your hands before you eat...

this playground is only for kids..

nice decorations outside the toilets



anyone wanna play this? its very fun and free-of-charge....haha...but please remember to have the equal number of people on each side of the 'boat'....or else it's likely that everyone will end up into the water....hmm...i'm not so sure how deep is the water but it sure doesn't look too clean

the place is located at the end of the kids world and it's not very crowded during weekdays so you can play all you want


wanna play the merry-go-round? it costs $4 or $6 per ride...can't remember

the orang gutan are getting down from the trees...and preparing for the phototaking session....one of them are relunctant to come down as she is pregnant...
phototaking anyone? i was hoping that we could carry the orang gutans or carry snakes during the phototaking session but i didn't see any snakes and were not allowed to carry the orang gutans during phototaking session. We were only allowed to stand in front of them....ahh.....





then, we entered the butterfly park....


you will have close encounters with the animals...touch them if you dare....

but do not touch this animal coz jeffrey said that it will bite....

jeffrey touching the butterfly....i'm not so sure whether we are allowed to touch the butterfly but he said that the butterfly has a short life span anyway...so it makes no difference whether we touch it or not....okay...that sounds very wrong.....

ooo...there's even a boat ride from the entrance to the kids world....the boat ride costs $5 and it's for a duration of 20minutes.....we didn't take the boat ride but i wanna take the boat ride next time!

two admission tickets + unlimited tram rides cost $46......($18per ticket and $5 for tram rides)....you can also visit the Singapore Zoo's website to purchase the tickets and tram rides....
