went to jeffrey's house last saturday and he told me he spent the whole night doing the human resource payroll system for one of the department in his company.....and he did not know how to come up with one of the formula for microsoft excel and so he asked me for help....but he also said this:"i don't think you know how to do it, i bet u won't have the solution even if you try for a few hours"........he wanted a formula that enables people to calculate the ot hours minus the break time........e.g for every 4 hours, there is a 1/2 hour break.....for every 8 hours, 1 hour break, for every 12 hours, 1.5hours break and so on...........and so i went to the internet and after about 1 hour, i came up with the formula that looks like--> =IF(CELL A>4,CELL A-0.5,IF(CELL A>8, CEll A-1,IF(CELL A>12,CELL A-1.5, IF(CELL A>16,CELL A-2, IF(CELL A>20,CELL A-2.5, IF(CELL A<4,=CELL A))))))......and when i showed the formula to him, he said this
--> chey...i also know how to use the IF formula.....then after 5 seconds, he said this--> so can you explain to me how the formula works?.......!!!!!hate it when he always assume that he knows more than me...and hates it even more when he say i can't do it!!!!!! you'll never know unless you try right? zzzzzzzz............been busy with studies recently and i will be going to school for my business finance test later.......i hope i can pass.......business finance is so difficult!
